Kenneth LeRoy Adams, 63, of rural Fall Creek, beloved husband, devoted father and grandfather, passed away December 9, 2009.
He was born January 19, 1946, to Frank and Alvina (Mahr) Adams. He was raised on the family farm and attended Fall Creek schools, graduating in 1964. He was in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1967. His children and grandchildren were the light of his life and he enjoyed cooking for them, playing games with them and sharing his sense of humor. He was an avid fan of Fall Creek Crickets basketball and proudly followed them through the years and even to Madison. He also loved hunting, nature and being outdoors.
Dad married the love of his life, Karen Bilderback, on November 26, 1968, at Holy Rosary of Lima Catholic Church in Durand. Together they had four children. Dad lived his life honestly and with no regrets. He believed in the value of family and the unconditional love that came with being a father and husband.
Dad was a true working man and dedicated himself to CT Film/Rexene for 29 years, where he spent 22 years in Chippewa Falls, five years in Clearfield, Utah, and two years in Scunthorpe, England, before retiring.
Dad was preceded in death by his son, Wendell in November of 2009; his parents, Frank and Alvina (Mahr) Adams; and sister-in-law, Pat Adams.
Funeral services will be Thursday, December 17, at Stokes, Prock and Mundt Funeral Chapel, Highway 12 East, Altoona.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 16, 2009, and one hour prior to the service on Thursday, December 17, at the funeral chapel. The family will have a private burial at a later date.
Stokes, Prock & Mundt is serving the family.
