- Died. May 3rd, at her home near West Carlisle, Elizabeth Cochran, wife of Monterville Cochran, deceased, aged 75 years, 10 months 15 days. The deceased was a great sufferer during the past winter and spring. She was a noble Christian, and highly respected by all who knew her. She was the mother of nine children, who were constantly with her during her last illness. She leaves a concourse of friends, relatives, and neighbors who deeply mourn their loss. She was a member of the church over forty years. The church had in her one of its best workers. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Ollar, pastor of the Broomstick Church, after which the remains were interred in the Broomstick Cemetery, followed by a large crowd of friends – Dresden Transcript
