Julius & Mary's son, Admiral George Dewey, was USN Admiral of the Navy and hero of the Spanish-American War. He was most well known for the battle with the Spanish fleet in Manila Bay during the Spanish American War, sinking all 8 Spanish ships, while sustaining very little damage to his own ships, no dead and only 8 wounded.
