A. M. Parker, retired railroad man from Winnfield, died in a Shreveport hospital Nov. 3 following a lengthy illness.

He is survived locally by his son, Edward Parker, his daughter, Mrs. L. L. Brewton, Jr., and their children. His wife now lives in Castor.

Services were held Monday in the Laurel Heights Baptist Church with Rev. C. C. Martin and Rev. W. L. Holcomb officiating. Burial was in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Other survivors include: two daughters, Mrs. Dell Boyett of Monroe, and Mrs. Ralph Sanders, Monroe; five sisters, Mrs. D. J. Wroten, Mrs. Floyd Kennedy, and Mrs. William Beck, of Minden, Mrs. Bud Rolen of Bossier City, and Mrs. Edgar Kelly, Saline; five brothers, Lige Parker, Minden, George Parker, Hot Springs, Dewey Parker, Minden, Otis Parker, Marshall, Tex., and Cecil Parker, Castor.
