James Knox "JK" Johnson, 90, widower of Hazel Katherine (Sausman) Johnson, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013.

He was born Nov. 29, 1922 in Scott County, son of the late Jesse Lee and Ethel (Burgess) Johnson. JK served in the United States Army during World War II and was a member of Clays Mill Road Baptist Church. JK retired from P.J. Pedone as vice president and enjoyed being around horses his entire life.

He is survived by his four daughters, Donna Kaye (David) Smith, Patricia Anne Johnson, Jamie Carol (Russell) Hamada and Lisa Jean (David) Little; seven grandchildren, Sean Pierce, Scott LaRue, Jennifer LaRue Bullington, Genny Pierce Sullivan, Andrew Forsythe, Christian Forsythe and Bri Andrus; nine great-grandchildren, Victoria, Kelsey and Brendan Pierce, Shawn Kayley Sullivan, James LaRue, Logan Bullington, Christopher LaRue, Bryce Bullington and Zaylin Forsythe; one sister, Eugenia Bell; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, JK was preceded in death by one sister, Martha Ann Marshall and one brother, Owen Lee Johnson.

Friends may call on Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of service at noon at Johnson's Funeral Home with Pastor Jeffrey Fugate officiating.

Burial will be in Georgetown Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Andrew Forsythe, Christian Forsythe, Phillip Johnson, Jesse Johnson, Perry Marshall, Danny Marshall and Herschel Marshall.
