Kathryn Irene Almany, age 88, of 1101 Fairmount Ave. Bristol, Va. passed away following a brief illness on Sunday, June 15, 2008 in NHC Healthcare.
She was born Dec. 23, 1919 in Bristol, Va. a daughter of the late L.R. and Elizabeth "Bess" Corvin, and lived all of her life in the Bristol area.
She retired from Purity Bakery were she had over 20 years of service. She was a member of Euclid Avenue Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her son- Chris Leon Almany, sister-Alva C. Scyphers, and brother-William B. Corvin.
She is survived by:

A funeral service will be held 8pm, Monday, June 16, 2008 in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Rich Pannell officiating.
The burial will be 11am Tuesday in Mountain View Cemetery.
The family will receive friends prior to the service Monday from 6 to 7:45pm at the funeral home.
