Born Mar.10,1913 in Fullerton Township, the daughter of Albert and Bessie Belle (Charles)Kingry, she married C. Stanley Welsh on Jan 1,1935 in Kinsley,KS. He preceded her in death on Dec.17,1978.
She and her husband owned and operated the Stanley's Machnery Mart in Dodge city until 1959. They owned and operated the Royal Motel for 23 years.
She was a member of First christian Church, Card Chairman of the Swingshift Division of the Churh Womens Council, Happy Partners Class, Music Chairman of New Era, Federated womens Club, Dodge city Chapter of Keenagers, RSVP and DIY Exentsion Unit all of Dodge city,KS.
Survivors include three daughters, Besse O. Welsch of Thun,Switzerland, Gayla Rothermich of St.Louis,Mo and Stana Slattery of Dodge City,KS.; one brother, Charles Kingry of Kinsley,KS and six grandchildren.
Services were held at First Christian Church with Rev. Larry Williams presiding.
