Ambers Ivy Elm
Ambers Ivy Elm, 78, of 436 Gentry Street, widower of the late Edith Cooke Elm, died Friday.
Native of Spartanburg County; son of the late Perry Ivy and Exonia Robbin (sic) Elm; a retired loom fixer in textiles for more than 45 years.
Surviving: sons, Terry Elm of Enoree, Duncan Elm of Cowpens, U.S. Navy Master Chief Jerry Elm of Virginia Beach, Va., and Earl Elm of Mauldin; daughters, Judy Gowan of Mauldin, Barbara Holcombe and Janice Dallas of Spartanburg, Yvonne Gowan of Pacolet; brothers, Jessie Elm and Earle Elm of Clifton; sisters, Onie Bishop of Amarillo, Texas, Mrs. J.B. Maynon of Portland, Ore.; 20 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
Graveside services 2 Tuesday in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens by the Revs. Alan L. Gardinier and John Cox.
Family will receive friends from 7 to 9:30 Monday at the M.W. Bobo Funeral Chapel.
