Services for Donald J. McClain, 70, of Tyler will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, in the chapel of Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home with Pastor Don Herring officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Memorial Park Cemetery.
Donald was born July 22, 1943, in Beaumont to the late Cone and Lena Harris McClain and passed away Sept. 10, 2013, in Tyler. Donald came from a family of barbers. He barbered with his father in Bergfeld Shopping Center and later bought his brother's barber shop and worked there for many years before retiring. He was member of Bascom Assembly of God Church.
He is survived by his children, Jerry Don, Cathy, Donny, Ronda Sue and Joshua; a twin brother, Ronald C. McClain and wife Alice; sisters, Rosemarry Uzzel and husband Mike, and Becky Allee and husband Larry; and many other loving relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Larry Allee, Mike Uzzel, Clay Uzzel and Marcus Crouch.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
