Edward P. Percival, 77, of Triangle passed away at Potomac Hospital on Thursday, Aug. 11, 2005. He retired as a master sergeant from the U.S. Marine Corps after 28 years of service and also retired from the Capital Police Department after 20 years of service. He was a member of the VFW, Marine Corps League, Devil Dogs and was a pioneer in the China Marines. He is survived by his wife Lillian Percival; two daughters, Penny Stevens of Fauquier and Deborah Parr of Triangle; one son, Donald Percival of Stafford; two sisters, Ann Calkins of Fenton, Mich., and Patsy Jenkins of Ortonville, Mich.; and six grandchildren. Services will be held on Thursday, Aug. 18, at the Quantico Marine Corps Base Chapel at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Quantico National Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, Stafford Chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to the Dumfries-Triangle Rescue Squad, P.O.
