Nashville American, 12th: W.R. Demonbreun died at his residence in North Edgefield, at 4 a.m. yesterday, after an illness of about two weeks, aged 68 years. It is said that he was seated in a chair when the summons came. He was the son of one of the pioneers of Nashville and old Indian fighters. his father is said to have had a desperate fight with Indians in what is known as Demonbreun's Cave, just above the Nashville Island.
