Elmer Reid was born in Custer county, Nebraska, May 28, 1886, and died at his home near North Star, Nebr., May 13, 1911, aged 24 years, 11 months and 13 days. In April, 1887 the deceased moved with his parents to Merrick county, where he lived until April 1902 when the family moved to Snohomish county, Washington. Here they lived until May 1907 when they returned to Nebraska, locating near North Star where they have since made their home.
Elmer was a home boy, it was in the home he lived, and it was his home that he loved and it was the home that knew him best, and the home will miss him most. He was always reserved in his manner and not being strong for the past several years he shrank from social life, and contented himself with his friends and his home.
The funeral was held from the Glenwood church Sunday afternoon and was in charge of Rev. McBride of North Star. The family have the sympathy of the entire community.
