Henry "Don" HILBERT Don, age 87, passed away September 6, 2005 in Seattle. Don is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Violet; 2 children: Lois Schluter and Ron Hilbert; 2 grandchildren: Jill La Pointe and Jay Samson; 7 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; 1 sister; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and 10 brothers and sisters. Don was proud of his US Navy Service and served on the USS Saratoga and USS West Virginia. He was a Pearl Harbor Survivor. A Wake will be held Sunday, September 11, 2005, 5:00 p.m. and the Service will be Monday, 10:00 a.m., both at the Upper Skagit Community Center in Sedro Woolley. Arrangements are under the care of Hawthorne Funeral Home, 1825 E College Way, Mount Vernon.
