VINCENT, CHARLES HASKELL, died peacefully on Friday, July 12, 2013.

Born September 30, 1922, in Sunfish, KY, he was the last of 12 children born to Dave and Fannie Frances (Moutardier) Vincent. Charles was a proud member of the Greatest Generation, serving in the US Army in World War II, a 62-year member of Masonic Lodge 638, a member of VFW 6937, and a deacon for 57 years at Mt. Everest General Baptist Church (formerly Herald Johnson Memorial).

His wife of 66 years, Helen Louise Whobrey Vincent, predeceased him in 2012.

Charles is survived by his two daughters and their husbands, Anita Joan and Wendell Fraley of Louisville and Beverly Vincent and Dennis Boone of Olympia, WA; three granddaughters, Beverly Karen Fraley of Louisville, Anna Grace Boone of Seattle, WA and Emily Ellen Boone of Bellevue, WA; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Linda and Ken Coomer and Billy and Shirley Whobrey; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, July 18, 2013 at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be Wednesday 1-8 p.m., and Thursday 10 a.m. until the service.
