She lived alone in the Darlington Apartments in Atlanta right up until her death at age 94, her two sons nearby, Dr. George Leonard Walker, Jr., Griffin, Ga, and Dr. Exum Beckwith Walker, Atlanta. Her son, Exum, on going to visit, found her dead in her apartment, she having died a week or so prior.
