Cecil Gardner of Gainesville. died after a long illness. He was born Oct. 22, 1900, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Gardner. He married Jewell Flowers on Sept. 30, 1924.

A retired grocery store owner, he was acrive in the Gainesville Masonic Lodge, where he held several top offices. He was active in the Boy scout movement and secretary of The Gainesville Boat Club. He was a veteran of World War I.

Survivors are his wife Jewel; daughter Gwendolyn Grove and 2 grandchildren.
