Mrs. Ella Jinks Taylor, who resided in the Jinks neighborhood, about six miles west of Butler, died Tuesday night about 10 o'clock following an illness of several months.

Mrs. Taylor was the daughter of the late Mr. Willis and Mrs. Nicie Jinks and the last surviving member of this once very prominent family in the early history of Taylor County. She was about 70 years of age and the widow of Hon. John T. Taylor, who died about ten years ago and who was for many years County Commissioner of Taylor County.

She is survived by two sons, Mr. W.H. Taylor of St. Petersburg, Fl who was at the bedside at the time of her death, and Mr. B.T. Taylor with whom she resided in this county.

In early life, Mrs. Taylor united with Corbit Methodist Church and until the time of her death lead an exemplary Christian life. Her membership for the past few years was at Charing Methodist Church.

Mrs. Taylor was naturally of a lovable disposition and to know her was to love. Gentle, kind, Christ-like in her life, non came into her presence without feeling the uplifting influence of her beautiful life. Given to hospitality her home was always an open door to her loved ones and friends. It was in the home circle that her light shone brightest, and her children rise up to call her blessed. It was on a beautiful October day (Wednesday) when her tired body was laid to rest beside that of her husband in the Butler Cemetery to await the resurrection morn, funeral services being conducted by Rev. L.T. Rogers, pastor of the Butler Methodist Church.

A good woman has gone from us, and the world is richer by reason of the life she lived.
