From Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home:

Dorothy was born on March 18, 1922 at Seton Hospital in Austin, Texas. She attended St. Mary's Academy and the National Youth Association after high school. Dorothy worked for the Texas Employment Commission for over 50 years.

Dorothy's life was full of adventure and she had many hobbies. In her twenties she was an avid Rock Hound and had an extensive rock and mineral collection. She later collected antique bottles, postcards, and pottery, specializing in Texas items. Dorothy also loved spending time with her niece and nephew and their children.

Upon retirement, Dorothy moved to Fredericksburg to pursue her hobbies and be near her "collector" friends, of which she had many. She was the family historian and completed a book on the Danz family history.

Dorothy is survived by her brother, Edward Kerwin Bauer; her niece, Linda Kirkwood; nephew, Larry Bauer; and great nephews, Jason Moore, James Bauer, and Nathan Moore. She will be greatly missed. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm on Friday, March 13, 2009 at Weed-Corley-Fish South. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, March 14, 2009 at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel.

Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
