Mrs. Minerva Ward, 72, residing at 2012 North D street, died Saturday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Carrie Brown, residing ten miles west of Kokomo, of infirmities of age and complications, after an illness of several weeks. Mrs. Ward resided in Elwood about forty years and was held in high esteem by her wide circle of friends. She was a member of the Methodist Protestant church, Women's Relief Corps and the Woodmen Circle. Her husband died in 1907. She had been making her home with her daughter during the past few months. Besides the daughter she leaves a son, Joseph Ward of Elwood. Following funeral services at the home of the daughter the body will be removed to the residence here where it will lie in state until the hour for the services at the M. P. church. Members of the W. R. C. and Woodmen Circle will meet at the church at o'clock to attend the services.
