Marie Barbara (Barbie) Isch was born 12 Sep 1807 in Haut-Clocher, Moselle, France 57 the daughter of Jean Nicolas Isch 1765-1822 and Catherine Nicolas 1769-1841. She married Joseph Francois Xavier Poirot 1806-1898 28 Feb 1829 Haut-Clocher, Moselle, France 57. They had 11 children all born in France. They came to the US via La Havre France aboard the ship John Hancock arriving in New Orleans on Dec. 30, 1854. She died in Mascoutah on 2 Nov 1854 of pneumonia and was buried on 4 Nov 1875 at the Old Holy Childhood Cemetery in Mascoutah then later when that cemetery closed she was removed and buried at Green Mount.
