Mary Frances Munson died March 28, 2004. She was born July 30, 1923, in Pana, IL, to Carl and Teresa Bower. She was married to Charles Frederick Munson, a 27-year Army veteran, who preceded her in death in 1988. She was a resident of Colorado Springs for the past 40 years. After raising nine children, she worked for the Harrison School District from 1980 to 2000 as a bus monitor for Special Ed. kids, caring for these children as if they were her own.
Mary was a devoted, loving and patient mother to Sue Santorno, Bob Munson, Ed Munson, Cel Kois, Teresa Huscher, James Munson, and Sally Wilmore, all of whom survive her. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, a sister, Eleanor Sullivan, and a brother, Louis Bower.
