After high school Robert joined the United States Air Force and proudly served his country. He was a Vietnam veteran and retired as an E6. Following his retirement he continued working in the police field and providing security at the V.A. Hospital. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed getting away to fish.
He is survived by one daughter; Kim Pickard of Little Rock, one son; Kevin Brooks of Little Rock, three siblings; P. David Brooks of Spartanburg, SC, Joyce Sprouse of Dacusville, SC, Jerry Brooks of Inman, SC, as well as four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 10, at 12:00 P.M. at The Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock. Arrangements by Roller Chenal Funeral Home
