Death of Mr. Sim Whitehead.


Receives a Paralytic Stroke in Atlanta, and Was Brought Here.

Mr. Sim Whitehead was brought to this city from Atlanta on the morning train last Sunday in a helpless condition. He was carried to the home of his two daughters, Mrs. Attaway, and Miss Eula Whitehead, on south Erwin street, where he has had the best of attention but his doctors, Griffin and Kirkpatrick, pronounced it a critical condition, and he died Tuesday at 12 o'clock.

Mr. Whitehead was in his room in Atlanta talking with a friend in another room, when his friend heard a fall and rushed to him, and found he had received a paralytic stroke.

Mr. Whitehead was well known in Cartersville, and had many friends here. He for a long time had charge of the W. & A. switch engine at this place, but of late years has been flagman at Foundry street crossing, in Atlanta.

His children he leaves are Mrs. Attaway, Miss Eula Whitehead and Mr. Charley Whitehead.

He leaves $1000 insurance in the Order of Railway Conductors.
