George Knight married Cordelia Farmer on 6 December 1916 at Seymour, Texas. To this union, one daughter was born, Margaret Jane, a beautiful little girl. He preceded her in death.

Services for Mrs. Cordelia Knight were held at the First Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Rollo Davidson. Mrs. Knight's parents died within a year of each other when Cordelia was only eight years old. She lived at Graham until graduating from high school, when she moved with members of her family to Goree. There she met her husband. The couple spent 2-3 years at Goree moving to Seymour. Since her husband's death, Mrs. Knight lived at her home west of the Catholic Church building. For a number of years, she lived with her half-sister - Miss Lillian Ernest who preceded her in death. Mrs. Knight was the last member of her family. In 1947, her daughter and her family came to live with her mother. Mrs. Knight was active in the work of her church, she was a member of the Eastern Star, and American Legion Auxiliary.

Survived by her daughter - Mrs. Robert "Janie" Rankin; two grandchildren.

Among the relatives who attended the services were: Mrs. Melvin Fort, Miss Maggie Robinson, Grady Budge, Mrs. Minnie Timmons, E.J. Ernest, A.H. Ernest, Mrs. Porter Rankin, Mrs. Mann Rankin, Mrs. John McKiney, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Westerman, Mr. and Mrs. H.B. Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Johnson, MR. and Mrs. R.E. McKiski, Phil Clark.
