KATHERINE JEANETTE "KATE" COFFMAN Robey 1919-1977

Katherine Jeanette "Kate" COFFMAN was born 7 July 1919 in Edgewood, Marion County, Indiana, the 9th of 11 children born to Mary Magdalene BLANKENSHIP Coffman 1882-1973 and her husband, John Edward "Ed" Coffman 1876-1941.

John and Maggie Coffman were the parents of 11 children:

(4 -) MARY HAZEL Coffman 1907 – 1988

(6 -) Albert John Coffman 1912 – 1970
(7 -) Margaret Emily Coffman 1914 – 1988
(8 -) Jasper Freely Coffman 1915 – 1968
(9 -) Katherine "Kate" Jeanette Coffman 1919 – 1977
(10 - ) Harlan Benjamin Coffman 1926 – 1975
(11 -) Mildred "Millie" Maxine Coffman 1928 – 2012

Kate married Wayne V. Robey 1908-1991 and they were the parents of three children:
(1) Donald Wayne Robey 1947–2015
(2) John Walter Robey
(3) Ronald "Ron" L. Robey.

Kate and Wayne resided at 703 South Bosart Avenue where they raised their three sons.

Kate enjoyed the Coffman family reunions and was always so happy, funny, and outgoing. She was very pretty and one of my favorite great aunts. I remember going to their home to visit with my family too.

Kate COFFMAN Robey, age 58, was pronounced deceased at 6 AM on the 24th of August 1977 while in the Morgan County Hospital in Martinsville, Morgan County, Indiana. Just like her father and brothers she died of heart disease. Coronary occlusion and coronary arteriosclerosis is what caused her death. Her Father, John "Ed" Coffman died of Angina Pectoris. Catherine "Kate" COFFMAN Robey was laid to rest at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown, Indiana on August 26, 1977.
