He is survived by his sisters, Brenda Edwards and husband, Mitchell, Nell DonDineau and husband, Bob; and brother, Odell Bryant and wife, Ann.

∼Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Oldham Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church for Mr. Jerry Robert Shortnacy, 71, Gadsden, who passed away Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013. The Rev. Odell Bryant will officiate with burial in the adjoining cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.
Mr. Shortnacy was a longtime resident of Gadsden and was a member of Oldham Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his mother, Estelle Shortnacy Bryant; and father, Hershel Bryant.
He is survived by his sisters, Brenda Edwards and husband, Mitchell, Nell DonDineau and husband, Bob; and brother, Odell Bryant and wife, Ann.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
The family extends a special thanks to the staff of Gadsden Regional Home Health, Robert and Melodie.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at the funeral home.
Mr. Shortnacy will lie-in-state for one hour prior to services at the church Monday.
