Surviving are 2 sons; Clarence V. Birney of Steubenville, Rev. Kenneth E. Birney of Cleveland; a daughter Kathleen Birney of Hopedale; 5 grandchildren and a brother Earl W. Matter of Sugar Creek.
Services were conducted August 30 at Blackburn's Funeral Home, Hopedale by Rev. Loman F. Fish.
Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.
