Mrs. Frances Lucretia Lettermann, mother of twenty-one children, of which number nine are living, died yesterday at her home in the Lettermann rooming house on Second street. Mrs. Lettermann's death followed a week of suffering after a sudden stroke of paralysis.
She was fifty-seven years old and was a native of Utah. She had been a resident of Chico for many years and had been manager of the Lettermann rooming house for some time.
Surviving are her husband, James Lettermann, of Sawtelle; one brother, Judge W.T. King of Carson City, and nine children – Charles Laws of Los Angeles and Harry Laws, Russell Laws, Mrs. Lily Rose, Mrs. Myrtle Rose, Mrs. Grace Lawson, Mrs. Myrtle Jones, L. Letterman, D. Letterman and O.L. Lettermann, all of Chico.
