Donald Leroy Devick, 71, Brainerd, formerly of Robbinsdale, died Tuesday, May 28, 2002, at home.
He was born Dec. 17, 1930, in South Dakota to Edith Remmington Devick and Olaf Devick. He was raised by his paternal grandmother, Rachel Devick, in Huron, S.D. After serving in the Navy during the Korean War, he married Delilia "Dollie" Noltensmeier on April 14, 1955. He worked in the optical business for 48 years. He was a former member of the Camden Lions and the Robbinsdale American Legion. He was a member of the Brainerd Legion.
Survivors include his wife; five daughters, Karen Hanson, Sharon Roney, Ann Kuh, Sue Schindler and Terry Marshall; two sons, Tim Devick and Tom Devick; and 13 grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mathias Catholic Church with Father Paul Fruth officiating. Burial will be in St. Mathias Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the American Legion Post No. 255.
Friends may call an hour before services Saturday at the church.
