Mrs. McClanahan Is Dead At Home At 92
Mrs. Mary McClanahan, 92 years old, died early Tuesday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. M. Leonard, of 18 Arlington avenue. Mrs. McClanahan had made her home with Mrs. Leonard for several years.
She was born in Putnam county but lived in Kanawha county, Poca district, for most of her life. She was the widow of E. J. McClanahan.
She is survived by one son, L. F. McClanahan, of Charleston; four other daughters, Mrs. N. J. Akers, Mrs. A. B. Atkins and Mrs. E. E. Hughes, of Charleston, and Mrs. J. W. Turner, of Poca; 44 grandchildren, 80 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services and burial will be conducted at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the McClanahan cemetery on Kelly's Creek, Poca. Rev. Mr. Smith will officiate.
