Ruth I. Berry Kison, 83, of Howes Run Road, Fawn Township, died Tuesday (Sept 15, 1992) at 10:30 p.m. in Belair Nursing Center, Lower Burrell.
Born Dec 30, 1908 in Celina [Mercer Co., OH], she lived in the Fawn area since 1930.
She was a member of Grace Untied Methodist Church, Natorna Heights, and former choir director and pianist at Center United Methodist Church, Fawn. She was a feature soloist with the Glee Club in St. Marys, Ohio.
Mrs. Kison enjoyed music and traveling.
Survvors include her husband of 62 years, Clarence E. Kison; two sons, Fred R. Kison of Butler and Jack W. Kison of Natrona Heights; a daughter, Mrs. Jay A. (Patricia) Wessel of Buffalo Township; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John [should be Elmer] and Erma [should be Minnie Bell] Poor Berry; a brother, Cyril L. Berry; and a sister, Erma M. Berrett.
Friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Robert Peters Funeral Home Inc., 1521 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, where services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. The Rev. J. Edward Oadwaller, pastor of First Christian Church, Tarentum. Burial will follow in Mount Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
