Mr. Alfred Louis Barr, 54, of Payneville, died July 2, 1983 at Ireland Army Hospital, Fort Knox, kentucky.

He was born November 4, 1928, the son of Beckham Barr and Pauline (Rhodes) Barr.

Mr. Barr was the owner of Alfreb Barr Realty and Auction Co., a member of the Board of Directors of R.E.C.C., St. Theresa Council No. 2282, Knights of Columbus, National Auctioneers Association, Kentucky Realtors Exchange, a veteran of Korea, and a former Member of the Meade County School Board.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Amelia (Manning) Barr; six children, Mrs. Paula McCollum of Louisville, Mrs. Teresa Pike and Miss Karen barr of Mooleyville, Mr. Mark Barr of Hardinsburg, Mr. Stephen Barr and Miss Marie Barr, both of home; his mother, Mrs. Pauline Barr of Payneville; one sister, Mrs. Ernestine Bywater of Louisville; three brothers, Mr. Irvin Barr of Louisville, Mr. Larry Barr of Brandenburg, and Mr. James Barr of Payneville; and four grandchildren.

Vigil services were held July 4th.

Funeral services were held from St. Theresa Catholic Church, with Father James Meder officiating. Burial was in St. Theresa Cemetery directed by Hager Funeral Home.
