WENDELL—Robert "Robbie" Herman Alford, 56, died Wednesday [July 17].
A native of Wake Co. he was son to the late Herman Smith & Catherine Hollifield Alford. Robbie served in the U.S. Army and followed in the family business as a truck driver for over 30 years. He loved his family and was a great cook and always Head Griller.
He is survived by his wife of over 21 years, Millie Hinnant Alford of the home, daughters; Stacy Lynn & Amber Alford, sisters; Diane Alford Adams (Mike) of Wendell, and Linda Alford of Wendell.
Flowers welcomed or memorials may be made to Gary Sinise Foundation or Snowball Express Foundation.
Funeral service 3 pm, Sunday, Strickland Funeral Home Chapel, 211 W. Third St., Wendell. Visitation from 1-3pm prior to the service. Burial, Central Baptist Church Cemetery. www.stricklandfuneralhomes.net.
