Born Dec. 28, 1894, Mayfield, Sanpete County, to Thomas and Eliza Munson Hayward. Married Dorcus Childs, Aug. 30, 1916, Manti LDS Temple. Former principal, South Bountiful School and Arlington School in Murray. Supermarket operator, Provo, 20 years. Real estate developer, California. Survivors: widow; sons, daughters, Mrs. William (Geniel) Stoddard, Melo Park; Dr. La Nell [La Nell] Ralph, Provo; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild; brothers, sisters, Willard, Rupert, Idaho; Mrs. Hazel Rasmussen, Coy, Mrs. Thelma Christensen, Aldin, Mrs. Velda Haacke, all of Bountiful; Mrs. Re Von Porter, England.
