Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 3, 2007, at St. John's Lutheran Church with Reverend David Gunderson officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Yankton.

Mildred was born March 20, 1922, at Menno, South Dakota to Edward and Annettie (Herrboldt) Hauck. She spent her childhood living in Menno and Utica, South Dakota and graduated from Utica High School. On September 22, 1940, she married Arnold Zwemke at St. John's Lutheran Church in Yankton. After their marriage, they resided in Yankton a few years before moving to Alameda, California. They lived in California for three years while Arnold was involved in his ship building career and then in 1946, they moved back to Yankton. Mildred worked at Sister James Care Center for many years and later attended cosmetology school in Sioux City, Iowa. She worked as a hairdresser in Yankton for almost 40 years. Mildred was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, the Lutheran Women's Missionary League and the Over 50's Club. Mildred enjoyed reading, cooking, baking and most of all, playing pinochle with her friends and family. She will be cherished forever for her endless love and devotion to her family, especially giving many years as a caregiver to her brother and granddaughter who have special needs. We will miss you so much dear mother and friend.

Survivors include her five children: Larry (Annette) Zwemke of Sioux Falls, Carol (Glenn) Mikkelson of Yankton, Vance (Sandra) Zwemke of Westminster, Colorado, Mike (Mary) Zwemke of Cartersville, Georgia and Kim (David) Renevier of Houston, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; one brother, Ervin (Arlene) Hauck of Denver, Colorado; one sister, Agnes Brosz of Yankton; and several nieces and nephews.
