Mary L. Tavernier 91, of W. Gypsy Lane Rd. Bowling Green, died Sunday, February 1, 2004 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 12, 1912 in Pennsylvania To Harry and Amy Belle (Whitacre) Book. She married Glenn A.. Tavernier on May 23, 1931 and he preceded her in death on May 10, 2001. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bowling Green and Ladies Missionary Society. She is survived by sons: Richard L. of Pensacola, Florida and James H. of Toledo. Daughters: Marlene J. Sampson of Fredrick, Maryland, Norma L. Kramp and Margaret R. Schwind, both of Bowling Green. Twenty grandchildren, thirty-seven great grandchildren and one great, great-grandchild. She was preceded by one sister, Frances McConell and a brother, James P. Book. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday at 10:00am in the church. Revs. David Fath, Brian Snyder and David Bringman, officiating. Visitation is Tuesday from 5 to 8pm at the Dunn Funeral Home, 408 W. Wooster St. Bowling Green. Friends may also call from 9:30am until service time at the church on Wednesday. Burial is in Wood County Memory Gardens.
