A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow for Jervis B. Autin, 68, a native and resident of Golden Meadow, who died at 2:10 p.m. Feb. 9, 1999.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. until funeral time at the church.
Burial will be at the church cemetery.
He was the father of Scott, John, James and Jackie Autin and Harriet Sigrist and Mary Brunet; and brother of Alcide Jr., Garrison Sr. and Woodrow "Woody" Autin. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Plaisance Autin; parents, Alcide Sr. and Vivian Galliano Autin; and daughters, Allis Martin and Maria Autin.
He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. He was a member and past president of the Golden Meadow Rotary Club, the past master of the Knights of Columbus in Cut Off and a fourth degree knight.
He was the mayor of the town of Golden Meadow from 1980 to 1999.
Samart Funeral Home of Cut Off is in charge of arrangements.
