BLACKVILLE, S.C.- Mr. Charles Arthur "Bill" Buist Jr., 71 died Monday, Sept 28, 1992, at Huntsville Hospital, Huntsville, Ala.
Graviside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Blackville Cemetery, with the Rev. Wayne Horne Officiating.
Mr. Buist, a native of Swansea, had retired as an aerospace engineer from NASA in 1980 after 20 years of service. He was the systems manager of the flight control system of the S-I-C Stage of the Saturn 5 Flight Vehicle. A 1942 graduate of Clemson University, he was a Navy verteran of World War II and the Korean War and had retired from the Naval Reserve. He was a part-time resident of Canadys and a member of Trinity Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, a daughter; a son,; a sister, a brother, and four grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Blackville Cemetery Fund or American Cancer Society.
Folk Funeral Home, Williston, is in charge of arrangements.
