Daughter of Adam Smith and "Oursula" Miller, per marriage transcription; this was her second marriage. Her father's name differs from that shown on her d/c, which is Frederick Bender. It appears that the correct name is a combination of the two: Adam Bender.

1m: As Katie M.B. Bender, she married H.J.A. Schmidt on May 28, 1890, in Allen Co., IN.

2m: As Katie Smith (s/b Schmidt?) Bender, she married John Seelig on Oct. 16, 1895, in Indiana.

1900/1910 Ft. Wayne, IN: Katherine was the mother of 0 children/0 living.

Katie suffered from involutional psychotic reaction for 19 years. She died at the Richmond State Hospital.
