After Irwin Belk Royce wife passed he decided to go out west to find work as he was not making enough as a farmer to support his family. He left his two children with his mother Ada Belk Royce and headed west to work in the harvesting. He wrote regularly and sent money for his children care. For several months the family did not hear from him. In his last letter he did mention that he would try going into Canada as he heard that their was work to be had there. His mother Ada and Aunt Opal Belk went to his last known address. They were not successful in locating him. He was never heard from since that time. About 2000 I was asked, K Ward Seipp a 1st cuz 1x removed to Irwin, by his children, to see if I could find any information about their father. I did discover that he had traveled to Canada. I found the following: Irwin Royce Age: 26 Estimated birth year: abt 1895 Arrival Port: Emerson, Manitoba Date of Arrival: 15 Mar 1921 Birth Location: Francock Ind Gender: Male Citizenship: American. I have not found further information on him.
