Leota Held, 97, of Indianapolis, formerly of Crown Point, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2000. Survivors are two sons: John (Julie) Held of Carmel, IN and Robert Held of Indianapolis, IN; four grandchildren: J. Todd (Susanna) Held of Indianapolis, Jana (Dennis) Zeyen of Greenfield, IN, Mark Held of Indianapolis and Amy (Marcus) Colosimo of Rochester, N.Y.; three great-grandchildren: John Todd Held Jr., Deanna Held and Kylie Zeyen. Preceded in death by husband, Lowell in 1985 and parents, Harvey & Elizabeth (Todd) Gentry.

Franciscan Dr (On State Road 55 south of State Road 231), Crown Point, on Tuesday, December 19, 2000, from 11 a.m to 2 p.m., at which time the Funeral Service will take place with Rev. Beverly Biehr officiating. Burial, Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville, IN.
Leota was a Crown Point resident since 1927 and a member of the First United Methodist Church, Crown Point, Tri Kappa Sorority, DAR, Society of Indiana Pioneers, Colonial Dames of the 17th Century and Chi Omega Sorority. A graduate of Indiana University, class of 1926.
