KYLE, Texas -- Tabatha Johnson, 42, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013, at her home in Kyle, Texas, surrounded by her family, after a valiant fight against cancer.

Tabatha was born on April 20, 1971, in Syracuse, N.Y. At the age of 3 her family moved to the Brazosport, Texas, area. She was a graduate of Columbia High School and Texas State University.

Tabatha was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Walter H. and Anna Piszczyk, and her father, Walter A. Piszczyk. She is survived by her husband, Scott A. Johnson; and daughters Anna and Zoe. Extended family includes her parents, Don and Ruth Keck; sister, Althea Piszczyk Townsend; brothers, Cameron and Aaron Keck; grandmother, Angela Huston; and in-laws, Addison and Nancy Johnson.

A memorial service will be held at Grace Community Fellowship, located at 1495 FM 2004, Richwood, Texas, on Sunday, Sept. 8, at 2 p.m. There will be a private interment at Restwood Memorial Park in Clute, Texas.

Tabatha requested in lieu of flowers donations be made to Physicians Cancer Research Foundation, Texas Oncology, attention Michael Vogel, 12221 Merit Drive, Suite 500, Dallas TX 75251.
