Martin T. Porter, 64, of Marinette, WI passed away Monday, Nov. 3 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Milwaukee after many years of struggling with heart disease. He was born Aug. 29, 1944, in Menominee, MI to Ronald Porter and Joyce (Parent) Porter-Hartman.

He spent his early years in Oconto, WI and was a 1962 graduate of Oconto High School.

On June 28, 1962 he married the former Kathleen Borowski of Marinette, WI and they resided in Marinette since.
For 40 years he worked at Scott Paper Company, later Kimberly-Clark Corp. as an electrician and was an active member of MariScott. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Marinette and the Marinette Lions Club.

His wife, Kathleen survives, along with three daughters: Mrs. Tim (Lori) Geltz of Marinette, WI; Mrs. Mike (Linda) Belanger of Green Bay, WI and Mrs. Tony (Karen) Paidl of Stephenson, MI.;
seven grandchildren
and a brother, John Porter of Texas.

Friends may call at First United Methodist Church, Marinette after 3 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 7 with funeral services held at 6 p.m. Rev. Warren Waddell will officiate and burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
