Ruth Pearl Pringle, of Stillwater, left this earth and into the arms of Our Lord and Savior on August 31, 2013 in Stillwater, at the age of 84.

She was born June 16, 1929 to Byrd Robert and Vister Pearl (Ketchie) Wilkins in Calumet, Oklahoma. She lived several places while growing up, as her Dad was a Baptist minister. He went blind when she was about 8, and she spent the rest of her childhood, caring for her father. She married Roy F. Pringle on May 10, 1946 in Millett, Texas. After Roy returned from the Korean War, they made their home in Norman, where they had a dairy farm for a few years before moving to Tecumseh in 1963. After Roy passed away in 1982, she lived at the farm until she married Leo Banning. They made their home in Eufaula and when he became ill they moved to Stillwater near her children.

Ruth enjoyed working on the farm, and loved the spring calving time. She was a member of Pink Baptist Church where she was an excellent and hospitable cook. Her passion was music, and was able to play the piano, and many other instruments, by ear. She often said that pounding on the piano was her therapy. As a talented musician she even wrote a few songs. She would pass her love of music to her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed the time she spent at the Stillwater Life Center, and made many friendships there.

Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, husbands; Roy F. Pringle, and Leo Banning, her son; Mark Pringle, her sisters; Lorraine, Marie, and Naomi, and her brother; E.W. Wilkins.
