HECOMOVICH, William Francis Died peacefully in his sleep on July 9, 2005 in Sacramento. Bill was born on May 11, 1928 to Charles and Julia Hecomovich in the village of Bovey, Minnesota. He moved to California in 1950 where he earned a BA and MA from the University of the Pacific and also served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He then went on to teach high school in Selma, Coalinga and San Anselmo. In 1962 Bill moved to Lake County where he would spend most of the next 40 years. Together with his wife Darlene and her family, he owned and operated Seigler Springs, a popular Lake County resort. In 1975 he returned to the education field as Dean of the Lake County Center of Yuba College Center, a position he held until 1987. Bill always enjoyed being an active member of the local community and supported a myriad of projects with his time and energy. He was the devoted husband of Darlene Hecomovich, cherished father of William and Julie and son-in-law Sascha Nensberg, brother of Gen Bradley and was preceded in death by brother Jay Hecomovich. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at Our Lady of the Lake, Loch Lomond on Thursday, July 21, 2005 at 12:10 p.m. Donations in Bill's name can be made to Redwood Caregiver Resource Center, 141 Stony Circle, Suite 200, Santa Rosa, CA 95401 or Hospice Services of Lake County, 1717 South Main Street, Lakeport, CA 95453.
