Betty Sue (Boyd) Clayton, 79, passed away peacefully at her home on August 16, 2013.

She was born on July 24, 1934 to Elmer & Narlene (Stalion) Boyd.

Betty graduated from Crittenden County, KY High School and attended Indiana University. Betty was the International Rate Clerk for overseas rates at Atlas Van Lines for over 30 years. She was very dedicated to her work and was a " go getter". Betty enjoyed traveling, especially to the West Coast of Florida. She and Bob were "snowbirds" and stayed in the St. Petersburg, Florida area. Bob and Betty had dinner together at The House of Como every Tuesday night and at Haub Steak house at least once a week. Betty also enjoyed cooking, working puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren.

Betty is survived by her husband and best friend of 56 years Robert "Bob" Clayton; daughters, Carole Johnson (Dennis), Susan Scott (Randy); grandchildren, Kali & Kyle Johnson, Ethan & Mya Scott.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents and sister Nell Perryman.

A celebration of Betty's life will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Avenue, Evansville, IN 47711 with Rev. Steve Clayton officiating.

Friends may visit from 1:00 P.M. until service time on Wednesday.
