George Francis Farley was born either the 15 March 1916 or 15 November 1916 in Lake County, California, depending on whether you are referring to his marker or his death certificate. He was born to Sadie Cook of Arizona and George Farley of California.

His parents were the operators of Glenbrook Resort in Cobb Valley, Lake County and George would help out where he was needed. On 5 September 1931, 15 year old George was driving the cows in from pasture with 19 year old Henry Langenberg. Each carried with them a weapon, and a terrible accident unfolded when Henry's weapon was discharged, hitting George in the back of the head.

Once it registered what had happened, Henry picked George up and tired to rush him back to the house, but the damage was too severe and it was too late. George transitioned out of this life while in Henry's arms, a moment of hope and desperation for his friend quickly turned to defeat, Henry knew that George was gone.

While George's time here on this earth was brief, his parents love for him is eternal.
