Petition in the Orphans Court On the 28th day of Aug. 1871 Charlotte Bellman filed petition in the Orphans Court of Cambria County to divide the land between herself and her children. The land is described in territory and 433 acres and which land had several coal banks opened thereon at the death of said George Richards. The children are listed as follows: John Richards, Geroge B. Richards, Mary Anne married to Jacob Burg, Sarah Jane married to Daniel Spangler, Malinda married to Isaiah Haines, Hannah married to Perry Harkins, and Emanuel Richards. Charlotte was to have one equal third part of the estate. And to the children the remaining two-thirds were divided up evenly among the seven children.
