Elton-Funeral service for Jimmie Fuselier, 72, will be held Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church of Elton. Father Marshall Boulet will officiate and burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton. The family will receive visitors at Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton beginning Monday, September 2, 2013 from 4-8 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Monday morning until time of service. Jimmie was a native of Elton. He graduated from Elton High School in 1959. He also served our country with the United States Air Force. He lived in several states over the years. He was a parishioner at St. Paul Catholic Church and a member of "Sons of St. Paul". He was an avid bowler and enjoyed fishing, as well. He was a dedicated L.S.U. and Saints fan. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. His "true loves" in life were God, his family and his friends. Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years, Barbara Fuselier of Elton; four daughters-Gail Sorbet of Tallahassee, FL, Sonya Ferguson and husband, Chris of Westpoint, GA; Kristy Fuselier of Elton, and Tiffany Fuselier of Ames, IA; two brothers-Carroll Fuselier and wife, Elaine of Lafayette and Kenneth Fuselier of Lake Charles; and six grandchildren-Brian, Joshua, Mathew, Ian, Jeremy and Mia. Jimmie is preceded in death by his parents, Beatrice and Dewey Fuselier.
