Mary Selby was born probably about 1580 in Yorkshire, England. She was the daughter of Robert Selby, Esq., of Yorkshire. She married John Beers, or Bere of Rochester, Kent, England. They settled in Gravesend, Kent and had five children. It is not known when Mary died, but she surely died in Gravesend, and was buried in the churchyard of St. George’s Church there.
